Self improvement ideas have become the most widely read on the net these days. You find them everywhere from women's magazines to people's email signatures. Sometimes it feels as if the world we live in makes its money by pointing out how to live our lives through their version of ideas and tips. Everyone everywhere is telling us how to live, how to improve and how to overcome our problems. Problems? Are they really convinced that we have 'problems'?

While optimists like me are convinced they aren’t problems merely challenges in our daily life, there are many out there who feel the need for that special something to show they too can come up in life. Some of the challenges are legitimate ones that many of us need to work on like that tiny little shove for some who need to be reminded gently that their uneven teeth may be the reason they aren’t being accepted in the tinsel world! Or the dressing tips to another who feels he has been doing everything by the book but fails to understand why he isn’t succeeding in the interview. These self improvement ideas would perhaps make them realize that society has certain parameters and we need to follow those parameters in order to get an edge over others in order to succeed.


With that in mind one just needs to feel assured that as an assured, competent and valuable person there isn’t much that one needs to change in oneself. Just a gentle reminder of things could put a lot of things into proper perspective.

Given below are some ideas that may throw light on areas that you need to improve on.

Time Management: It is one of those tips that has been downplayed or frequently overlooked. But if you retrospect your mistakes you will realize that by not prioritizing your time you may have not met your targets. The best possible way is to start using a calendar or questioning yourself on the time allocated for the task on hand. If you are satisfied then do not bother about it, but if you feel that there are changes to be made then allocate time to each of the tasks and stick to it.

Exercise to stay healthy: It has been proved that following a daily exercise regimen would work wonders for the body and mind. With the hectic lives that we lead it is imperative that the food we eat isn’t healthy as it should be. Thus a 10 minute exercise would work wonders to make you feel you are on the right track.


Dress for yourself: Sometimes the only boost that you could gain is by wearing that favorite dress that you indulged in sometime ago. If you feel by wearing it you feel happy and are ready to face any challenge then go ahead and wear it. Or by treating yourself to a good pedicure relaxes you then by all means do it. Such acts would add zing to your confidence and make you see things in a better light.

Self improvement tips do not need to be a hard slogging uphill task for you. These are small things that you can do everyday that will improve your health, increase your peace of mind, and help you face yourself and your life with optimism and energy.
